One day they’ll know you as their parent. This is for the rest of you.

A minute a day, out loud. Not about your parenting — about you. Kept until they’re old enough to want to know who you are.

2,840 parents already on the list
1 minute. Maybe 5 if the toddler’s asleep.
About you. For them. Later.

Every place you record about parenting is about them.
This one is about you.

TellSophie isn’t another place to log your kid’s milestones or write a memoir later. It’s a daily one-minute voice diary about you — recorded now, kept private, given to your child at 13 as joint admin and 18 as full admin.

  • Not a journal.

A journal is honest until you re-read it — then you start performing for your future self. They aren't reading it until later. That keeps it true.

  • Not a baby book.

Baby books are about them, for you to flip through later. This is about you, for them to find later.

  • Not a memoir.

Memoirs treat recording as something you do once, near the end. This is a minute, today. Pajamas optional.

  • Not just you.

Their other parent records too. The grandparents. Each on their own cadence. Years from now your kid grows up knowing all of you — not just the parenting versions.

The daily loop

A daily habit. Years of you, kept whole.

One short prompt a day. You decide when. The loop is three steps: a prompt arrives at the time you set, you record a minute out loud, and you can replay every entry from day one. Your child gets joint access at 13 and full access at 18 — never sooner unless you choose.

  1. 01

Get a prompt at the time you choose.

Morning coffee, evening wind-down. Pick when. Prompts meet you where you actually are — not where the parenting bookshelf thinks you should be.

  2. 02

Say it out loud. A minute. Maybe five.

Audio or video. No editing, no retakes. The point is the saying, not the saying-it-well.

  3. 03

Hear yourself back. Share at thirteen.

Replay every entry from day one, anytime — yours alone, until you decide otherwise. Joint with your child at 13, fully theirs at 18. Never before the dates you choose.

What we’ll ask you.

You won’t tell them what matters if you don’t trust who’s listening.
Private by default. Yours to export. Never used to train AI.

Things parents ask

Questions that come up at the kitchen table.

What does the first week feel like?
Seven small things you'd have forgotten by Sunday — captured. And at least one thing you've never said out loud, to anyone. The minute is short. The relief is the kind nobody warned you about.
Who else can record? My partner? Their grandparents?
Their other parent. The grandparents. Godparents. Whoever you decide. Each on their own cadence — you're not herding anyone. The chorus is so your kid grows up knowing all of you, not just the parenting versions.
When does my child get access?
Joint with you at 13, fully theirs at 18 — or hold longer if you'd rather. You set the dates, and we never override them. Nothing opens before you've said it should.
Can I hear my own old entries?
Yes — from day one. Your three-week-ago voice sounds like someone you forgot you were. That's the practice doing its work on you, long before the kid hears any of it.
Can I export everything?
One-tap ZIP of standard files anyone can open, anywhere. Available on every plan, including the trial. The recording is yours. We're a place to keep it, not a place to lock it.
What if you shut down?
A funded continuity reserve. If we ever close, every active customer gets a final export — already paid for. Read the trust commitment for the math.
Will my voice be used to train AI?
No. Not ours, not anyone's. We never train AI on your recordings, never share them, never read them. Only you and the people you've invited can listen.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing dramatic. No streak counter, no penalty, no guilt push. The app's calibrated for the hard weeks. Show up when you can — your kid doesn't need every day, they need you.
